Rapid COVID-19 screening tests, completed in 15 minutes, will soon be offered at a cost of $ 149 at the Montreal airport to passengers traveling to destinations requiring a negative medical certificate to enter their territory .
The pilot screening project will be offered from December 15 to travelers aboard Air Canada, Air France, KLM or Air Transat whose final destination is metropolitan France.
The screening will be carried out in a section of the departures level, in the terminal, and will be administered by the health services company Biron, which has partnered with Aéroports de Montréal for this project.
The project will eventually be extended to other destinations if it proves useful. The same test could be performed on arrivals.
The test will be available by reservation only. The public health of Canada nevertheless specifies that the passengers who will participate in the pilot project will still have to undergo mandatory quarantine upon their return to Canadian soil.
