Covid-19 patients who were not vaccinated and partially vaccinated in November were four times more likely to be hospitalized.

In November, non-vaccinated and partially vaccinated Covid-19 patients were hospitalized four times more often, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPCC) reported.

According to the SPKC, 2,617 unvaccinated and partially vaccinated populations per 100,000 population were infected with Covid-19 in November. In turn, among the vaccinated, this indicator is 1157.1 per 100,000 population.

According to the SPKC, 94 unvaccinated and partially vaccinated people and 11.4 vaccinated people per 100,000 people died in November.

LETA has already reported that 271 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered in Latvia last day and one death of a person suffering from this disease was registered, according to data compiled by the SPKC.

The two-week cumulative morbidity rate per 100,000 population decreased slightly over the past day, from 503.4 to 501.1 cases.

Of all Covid-19 patients registered within 24 hours, 156 or 57.56% had not been vaccinated or had not completed the vaccination course, while 115 had been vaccinated.

One person in the 90-99 age group who was vaccinated was registered last day.

To date, a total of 4,376 deaths of Covid-19 patients have been registered in Latvia.

Last day, a total of 4210 Covid-19 examinations were performed in Latvia, but the proportion of positive cases against the tested ones was 6.4%.

The agency’s LETA estimates that the total number of people with Covid-19 has fallen to 9,487 in the last two weeks, with the rest considered to be over-the-counter.

To date, Covid-19 has been laboratory approved in Latvia for 262,215 people.
