COVID-19 patients in the Baltics. Latvia – 0, Lithuania – 38, Estonia – 8 BNN

No new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been detected in Latvia in the last day, thus the number of infected so far remains 1,323. However, only a person in the age group of 80-85 died from complications.

On the other hand, the latest public data on Estonia show that a total of 2,200 cases have been diagnosed there, with eight new infections detected in the last day.

A total of 63 people have died from the virus in Estonia. The last death of COVID-19 in Estonia was detected on June 2.

According to the latest data from Lithuania, there are 2,474 people living with coronavirus in their country, with 38 infected.

In Lithuania, the number of deaths due to complications caused by the virus has reached 81, but 1,705 have recovered.

So far, 228,758 examinations have been performed in Latvia, according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC). Also, 33 COVID-19 patients died in Latvia, but 1,093 recovered.

In all three Baltic States, the state of emergency has ended, but various safety measures, such as distance and hand disinfection, must continue to be observed.
