Covid-19 Patients Claim to Missing the Sense of Smell and Taste

How to handle it?

You often experience loss of smell function when you have a cold or cough. Therefore, it is important to recognize and understand the smell disorders experienced when exposed to Covid-19.

Many researchers believe that the anosmia or olfactory disturbances experienced when exposed to Covid-19 are an early symptom of infection. However, further research is needed to ensure this.

Start by consulting an ENT doctor. Especially, if you are still experiencing interference after being declared free of the Covid-19 virus.

Then, do smell training or exercise for the sense of smell to provoke a brain response. Try practicing using 4 types of strong scents for 10 seconds each, 2 times a day.

You have to smell and remember the scent when you try to inhale it. Research has shown that alternating 4 scents after 12 weeks will make you feel better.

Remembering the scent before experiencing the disturbance is the main thing when doing smell training. If you are still having trouble smelling the scent, consult your doctor.
