Covid-19 pandemic leads to shortage of HIV treatment in Kenya

“Kenya is currently facing a shortage of antiretroviral drugs in some health facilities”, warns Jacqueline Wambui in the columns of the Standard. According to the activist, the Covid-19 pandemic and the changes it imposes in health policy are at the origin of the shortage:

There is an interruption in healthcare services caused by the lockdowns and the conversion of some HIV treatment clinics into Covid-19 vaccination centers. ”
