Passengers of the liner who tested positive for coronavirus were sent to self-isolation.
At least 150 people on board the MSC Grandiosa cruise ship, which arrived at the port of Genoa from Marseille on Monday morning, have tested positive for coronavirus infection. This was announced on Monday, January 3, by the agency. Ansa.
The agency said most of those infected do not show any symptoms of infection and feel fine.
Travelers diagnosed with the coronavirus, most of them Italians, were immediately isolated in their cabins while waiting for local health officials.
“They will be delivered home using special vehicles, and foreign citizens will be placed in medical facilities in Genoa,” the journalists said.
The liner will not be able to leave Genoa until it is fully sanitized, Ansa notes.
Earlier it was reported that bad weather and the spread of the Omicron COVID strain caused cancellations on Sunday more than four thousand flights in the world.
