A nursing home in Ramada, Odivelas, the Amoreira Health and Rest Home, has 71 people infected with covid-19, 37 users and 34 employees. Everyone is asymptomatic, TVI knows. The home has a total of 60 users and 54 employees.
The cases of covid-19 were discovered because a patient needed hospital assistance, for other reasons, and was tested at the entrance to the hospital. In the positive light, the remaining users and employees were tested. This patient remains hospitalized but due to health problems not related to covid-19.
None of the remaining infected are hospitalized and employees are at home in isolation.
In the nursing home, two wards were created, one covid and one non-covid, for users without infection.
We are currently evaluating the situation and conditions that the home has to separate users with covid and without covid. Then, the health authorities will decide whether to transfer some patients ”, said the Mayor of Odivelas.
