Covid-19: “net epidemic reflux” in Occitania, here are the departments where the virus is regressing the most

The epidemic situation shows encouraging signs as the virus has been declining continuously since the end of July in all departments of Occitanie.

  • Tarn: -39% (319 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Haute-Garonne: -37% (300 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Hérault: -36% (386 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Batch: -35% (413 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Aude: -34% (391 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Tarn-et-Garonne: -34% (334 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Lozère: -33% (346 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Hautes-Pyrénées: -32% (283 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Pyrénées-Orientales: -30% (481 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Ariège: -28% (440 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Gers: -27% (368 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)
  • Gard: -24% (469 cases per 100,000 inhabitants)

The incidence rate remains high in a few departments such as Pyrénées-Orientales, Gard, Lot or Ariège. The ARS recommends maintaining good protective reflexes, rapid screening in the event of the appearance of symptoms and isolation if necessary. “All of this remains essential to protect our most vulnerable loved ones from viruses.”

The ARS suspends its weekly reports

Faced with a marked continuous improvement in the situation, the ARS will cease its weekly information bulletin set up in March 2020, after 284 reports published in just over two years. “The publication will be suspended during the next few weeks, but reactivated in the event of further epidemic deterioration”.
