Covid-19. Nearly 2,000 infected students in the region, including 638 in Côte-d’Or

According to the latest counts published by the Dijon academy, 1,973 students from the four Burgundy departments have been infected with Covid-19 in the last 7 days. A figure down from the previous week (2,276 positive students). However, this trend is not found when we examine the figures in Côte-d’Or. Which may seem logical when the number of cases remains very high in the general population.

During the last 7 days, 638 cases have been identified among 1st and 2nd degree students in our department against 642 a week earlier. Côte-d’Or is the department with the most cases among students ahead of Saône-et-Loire (636 cases, a sharp drop in a week), Nièvre (391) and Yonne (308). On the staff side, 172 contaminations were observed in all four departments. A figure again rather stable since it was 180 last week.

Finally, 32 classes had to be closed due to the epidemic in the region. 29 of them are in the Nièvre. The last three are in Côte-d’Or. Here too, the figures have changed relatively little compared to last week. There were then 26 closed classes (including 20 in Nièvre and 4 in Côte-d’Or).
