A number of Vaccine against covid-19 suspected of causing heavy bleeding when Menses.
The above was communicated by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) last Friday (28/10). They said heavy menstrual bleeding should be added to the vaccine’s list of potential side effects.
There have been reports of heavy bleeding during menstruation after the first, second and third dose booster Comirnaty (Pfizer) and Spikevax (Moderna) “, wrote the EMA in its official statement, launching AFP.
After reviewing the available data, EMA believes that serious bleeding after the Covid-19 vaccine is possible. However, it is not clear what the reason is.
Therefore, the EMA recommends that severe bleeding be included in the side effect list of two Covid-19 mRNA vaccines.
However, people need not worry as this condition has no impact on fertility levels.
“There is no evidence to suggest that some men’s menstrual disturbances impact reproduction and fertility rates,” the EMA added.
The case has been monitored in Europe since the first reports emerged in France in July. From there, the EMA continues to search in a number of European countries.
Problems reported generally involve longer menstrual periods and an increase in the volume of bleeding. In some cases there are also symptoms of more intense pain or cramps.
In most cases, the symptoms aren’t too severe and nothing to worry about. But in some women, symptoms can last up to six months.
However, until now the relationship between the administration of the Covid-19 vaccine and heavy bleeding is not known with certainty.
