A total of 32,916 doses of the covid-19 vaccine were applied during the four days of vaccinations carried out by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) in the southern Lima area since September this year.
The immunization coordinator of the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks (Diris) South Lima, Elizabeth Tapia Laguna, reported that, from the outset, the the brigades strengthened their intervention strategies which develops the Minsa.
“We settled in parks, squares, shopping centers and visited house-to-house all those people who had an outstanding dose, to complete their protection,” he said.
On date, Diris Lima Sur has applied more than three million doses against SARS-CoV-2reaching 82% coverage in the third dose, specified Tapia Laguna, who added that they will continue to shorten the gap for the fourth dose.
“That’s why we ask citizens to come to health facilities and receive our brigades,” he said.
In addition to the 117 health facilities, Diris Lima Sur has two vaccination centers. One located in the Jockey Plaza, on the third floor of the Sodimac car park, and the other, in the Villa María del Triunfo sports complex.
Office hours are Monday to Sunday 8am to 2pm.
