China detects 63 new infected by covid
The Chinese National Health Commission today confirmed the detection of 63 new positives for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus this Friday, 23 of them due to local contagion and the rest imported.
Community transmission cases were recorded in Beijing (north, 10), Tianjin (north, six), Henan (center, four), and Guangzhou (south, three).
The remaining 40 infections, found among travelers from abroad, were detected in various regions of the country, but more than half (22) were concentrated in Shanghai, one of the main gateways to China, which has kept its borders practically closed since March 2020.
Health authorities also reported today the detection of 43 asymptomatic cases, six of them local, although Beijing does not count them as confirmed cases unless they show symptoms. The National Health Commission also detailed that, until last local midnight, 175 patients were discharged after successfully overcoming covid.
