The information at the disposal of the SPKC shows that one of the patients has entered from abroad, one has become infected through a contact person, while two patients are related to cases in Gulbene.
Continuing the epidemiological investigation in Gulbene, epidemiologists have managed to find out the epidemiological link and source of all cases, the SPKC indicated.
Data from the National Health Service show that one patient with Covid-19 has been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, while a total of three patients are being treated in hospitals, two of whom have a moderate course of the disease.
To date, 190 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital, including both those who have recovered and those who have died.
So far, 195,331 Covid-19 tests have been performed in Latvia, of which 1,224 have been positive. A total of 1,052 Covid-19 patients recovered and 31 died.
It has already been reported that from Wednesday, due to Covid-19, municipal institutions in Gulbene municipality will be closed for at least two weeks for on-site visits, except for kindergarten on-call groups, according to the order issued by Gulbene County Council Chairman Normunds Audzis (ZZS).
Such an order has been issued taking into account the increase in the number of Covid-19 infected people in Gulbene region.
