The prefect of Eure-et-Loir has been hammering it for several months and again in a press release following the strong evolution of the incidence rate in the department: “vaccination is more than ever our best weapon against epidemic ”.
Eure-et-Loir has the highest incidence rate in the Center-Val de Loire region, according to the latest figures related to Covid-19, with 1,523 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. A “very important” development notes the prefect but “its impact on the hospital capacities of the department remains for the moment still contained”.
Two massive operations in Chartres
The objective, to slow the progression of the virus on the Eurelian territory is to simplify the vaccination offer at the start of 2022:
We will thus organize with the ARS, local authorities, firefighters, health professionals and our civil security partners, massive vaccination operations in the coming days.
A third dose for all Euréliens before the end of January
At Chartres vaccination center, two massive operations are being carried out this Friday January 7 and Tuesday January 11, 2022, “With the aim that all Euréliens have been offered, by the end of January, a third booster dose”.
The goal for state services is also to reach out to people who have not yet been vaccinated, by offering them a first dose “quickly”.
