The number of people hospitalized in France due to Covid-19 is down over 24 hours, show the daily figures published on Thursday by the Géodes de Santé Publique France site.
According to these data, French hospitals are treating 25,317 patients with Covid-19, including 3,430 in intensive care, or respectively 297 and 6 less in 24 hours.
France recorded 25,401 new infections with the coronavirus in 24 hours, against 31,519 the day before, or nearly 21,400 on average over 7 days.
Some 261 people died from Covid-19 in hospitals in 24 hours, bringing the toll to 85,582, including 60,981 deaths in hospital and 24,601 in nursing homes.
Since the start of the epidemic, 254,868 people have been able to return to their homes, including 418 in 24 hours.
