The Ministry of Public Health will pause from tomorrow in the application of first doses of vaccines against covid-19 due to a shortage of these biologics, focusing at least on Thursday and Friday on the application of second doses of the drugs Hayat Vax and Moderna .
According to the schedule announced by the Expanded Program on Immunization, People who have received their first doses of one of these two vaccines before June 30 will be able to approach the vaccinations.
On Thursday people whose identity card numbers end between 0 and 4 will be vaccinated, and on Friday those with a termination between 5 and 9.

“In the coming days we will report how we will continue with the application of first doses, since we have exhausted the entire stock (of vaccines) at the national level,” the Ministry of Health reported in a statement.
The accelerated rate of vaccination in Paraguay in recent weeks has resulted in a depletion of vaccine stocks in the country.

On Tuesday, a million doses of the Pfizer vaccine donated by the United States arrived in Paraguay, which in theory will be used for the application of second doses.
