Covid-19. From June 9, each company will set a quota of teleworking days per week

Employers will have to set, “within the framework of local social dialogue, a minimum number of teleworking days per week”, according to the draft new health protocol which will be in force from June 9 and sent to the social partners on Wednesday evening.

The text will be discussed Monday by videoconference between the social partners and the Minister of Labor.

Since the end of October 2020, the national company protocol provided that, for employees who can perform all of their tasks remotely, “the working time carried out by teleworking is increased to 100%”. Since January, a “valve” has been added with the possibility of returning one day a week.

“It is not a question of giving up teleworking”, warns Borne

If the rule changes from June 9, there is no question of completely bringing employees back to telework.

“We are giving back to employers and employees so that they determine the number of suitable days, but it is not a question of giving up teleworking! This practice remains recommended to fight effectively against the pandemic”, declared Élisabeth Borne , Minister of Labor, in Parisian.

Note that regarding the respect of barrier gestures (wearing a mask, distancing, etc.) nothing has changed for the moment.
