In total, France accounts for 31,274 deaths from infection with the coronavirus that causes covid-19, since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of deaths is lower than that recorded on Friday (123), since, on that day, 76 deaths from previous days that had not yet been announced were recorded.
According to the National Health Agency, 46 of the 101 French departments have a “high level” of virus transmission, with 105 outbreaks being investigated, that is, 58 more than on Friday.
The total number of confirmed cases in France since the start of the pandemic is 442,194.
In the last seven days, 5.6% of the tests to check for infection gave a positive result and 3,853 people were admitted to hospitals, of which 593 were in intensive care units.
Those infected with coronavirus already occupy 20% of all intensive care units in hospitals in the Paris region (Ile-de-France).
