Covid-19: First confirmed death in Denmark – News

Denmark has so far registered 827 cases of infection with Covid-19 and today decided to close borders to foreigners who do not have a plausible justification for entering the country.

This measure will be in effect until April 13 and will not affect freight traffic.

According to a report by the Spanish agency Efe, the Danish prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, justified the drastic measure with the high number of cases detected in the country, with 5.5 million inhabitants.

The official pointed out that other European countries have taken similar measures to contain the spread of the virus.

As of today, the Danish military is permanently monitoring land borders with Germany and Sweden, and airports have stepped up control of people who want to enter the country.
