On Sarthe, two measures are extended in Sarthe facing figures from Covid-19 still higher than the average in France.

A health opinion from the Regional Health Agency (ARS) issued on May 17, 2021 reminds that the situation is improving but also that the Sarthe remains behind compared to the other Loire departments …
“Concerning the situation of Sarthe, it is in line with the general trend of the region but it should be noted that despite a significant decrease in its indicators, Sarthe has to date recorded an incident and positivity rate higher than those of the region “
The report on the supply of care is also fragile with figures which remain relatively high (178 hospitalizations, 14 people in intensive care as of May 18, 2021). The director of the ARS notes that “the observed decrease remains very recent and would need to be validated in the coming weeks”.
Regulated home deliveries and alcohol consumption
In this context, the prefecture follows the recommendations of the director Jean-Jacques Coiplet and extends two orders with a small change for the home deliveries which are now allowed until midnight.
About the alcohol consumption, it remains prohibited “on public roads and spaces, in parks and gardens, on the outskirts of […] lakes, bodies of water and rivers in all the municipalities of the Sarthe department “
The objective of this complement to national measures remains the same: to curb the Covid-19 epidemic.
Vaccination: a local horizon emerges by September
Vaccine injections are accelerating in Sarthe thanks in particular to the departmental large-capacity vaccination center installed at the Rotonde of the Le Mans Exhibition Center and equipped with 25 lines.
A call to health professionals is launched to go even faster. An objective has been put forward at the level of the department: that 60% of those over 30 be vaccinated by September. Remember that 17 vaccination centers are currently operational throughout the territory of Sarthe.

Wearing the mask: towards a relaxation on June 9?
The next step will take place on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. It will notably see the reopening of bars and restaurants indoors. The various gauges will also be adjusted upwards.
The question of wearing a mask outdoors is not yet resolved. It could be relaxed … Remember that another prefectural decree imposes this port in all Sarthe towns since April 9, 2021.
