“High epidemic dynamics”. “Significant viral circulation”. “Part of the high variant”. “Real tension in hospitals”. This is the situation of the 23 departments under enhanced surveillance. “The epidemic is heterogeneous and the situation is worrying in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur”, indicates Olivier Véran, Minister of Health. For the moment, no additional measures have been announced for the Southern Alps. The Government is banking on city medicine, postponement of operations, increased mobilization of the private sector, transfer of patients, but also on vaccination.
The regional health agency announced that the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region will benefit for this weekend from 18,720 additional doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.
Priority over 75s
The actors (territorial professional health communities, local authorities, civil security forces and health establishments) are mobilized again this weekend. The vaccination centers which will open this weekend will give priority to vaccinating people over the age of 75. Here is the list of open places.
