During this long vacation, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) is ensuring the continuity of the vaccination against covid-19 and the regular regimen for the entire population, for which it has set up various roving points and deployed several brigades to arrive with the vaccinations home for home.
From the Santa Anita oval, Lic. María Elena Martínez, director of the Minsa’s Vaccination Department, highlighted that many people go to vaccination centers and the Minsa’s vaccination is assured, since people still continue to die due to the COVID-19.

“We must clarify that if we only have the two doses against covid-19, these have only protected us from the third and fourth wave, but today we are facing a fifth wave, so we must be protected with the third and fourth wave doses. For this, the Minsa continues to deploy vaccination brigades to bring vaccines closer to the population ”, Martínez Barrera said during the accompaniment on this vaccination day.
The director of Immunizations reported that from 8 in the morning they are serving the various traveling points such as Sinchi Roca, Campo de Marte, Bellavista (Callao), Atocongo, central market, among others. He commented that during these four days of long vacation, the brigades will continue to be vaccinated and deployed throughout the country.
“Between yesterday and so far this Friday, 20,000 vaccines have been applied between 3 and 4 doses, so the population is getting vaccinated. We must remember that covid-19 has not gone away, we are in the fifth wave, and those who come to the hospital are because they have not completed their doses. We must not relax the protective measures, we must wear the mask on public transport and in places with high traffic, in addition to hand washing, “she said.
The Minsa reminds that the the vaccination and diagnosis points against covid-19 will continue to be frequented during this long holiday during general hours from 8:00 to 17:00 in Metropolitan Lima. Likewise, critical and emergency areas of healthcare facilities and hospitals will hold public attention.
