COVID-19: Director of the San José Hospital assures that there was a “massive” vaccination of Lima residents in Chincha

This morning, RPP News reported that a large number of residents of the capital traveled to the province of Chincha to be immunized against the COVID-19 with the pharmacist’s vaccine Pfizer. The director of Hospital San José, Richard Cifuentes, he assured that there was a “massive” vaccination of Lima residents in the province.

“Almost 80% of the vaccines applied have been for a group that has arrived from the capital at various vaccination points that we have here,” he explained and clarified that, so far, there is no impediment to inoculate people from other cities in the province of Chincha.

“So far it is what we have for indications, there is a consent that they have to fill out and we rely on that physical document. It has been very massive, in Vacunacar and fixed points,” he added.

Several of the travelers assured that they headed towards Chincha since they consider that the Pfizer Pharmaceutical it is safer. “Unfortunately in Lima there are no Pfizer vaccines and we believe that this vaccine is safer,” said one of them.

The director of immunizations of the Ministry of Health, Gabriela Jimenez, suggested to the population not to travel to the provinces to be vaccinated against COVID-19, in order to keep an orderly record of the people who are immunized.
