Covid-19 did not claim any casualties in Estonia and Lithuania for the second day – no deaths

Another 90 people were found infected with the new coronavir virus in Estonia last day, but the Covid-19 virus-induced disease has not claimed any new lives, the Health Department said on Sunday.


In the past day, 2075 analyzes were performed, thus the proportion of positive tests was 4.3%. A total of 1,604,351 tests were performed in Estonia to detect infection with the new coronavirus.

The total number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 132,458, and 84,600 people have been confirmed to recover.

A total of 1271 people died of Covid-19 in Estonia.

25 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals.

The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population, calculated by the Estonian Department of Health, has risen to 73.4 on 25 July.

A total of 619,227 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Estonia, including 543,882 people.

But in a neighboring country in Lithuania last day, another 189 people have been confirmed infected with the new coronavirus, and the disease caused by the virus Covid-19 has not required new victims, the Statistics Department announced on Sunday.

7127 tests were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 2.7%.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 280,966 people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in the country.
