The most recent Covid-19 report reports two more deaths in Aguascalientes, which means that although the incidence of infections remains stable, those that are occurring among the population are more dangerous and, according to doctors and health authorities, this is due to the lack of vaccination among infected people.
According to the weekly report generated by the ISSEA area that monitors Covid-19, in the period from August 4 to 10 there were only five confirmed positive cases and of them only one of those infected required medical attention in the hospital, but two people unfortunately died due to the aggressiveness of the viruses.
In total, from epidemiological week 21 to 32, a total of 93 positive cases of the viral disease have been diagnosed, 26 hospitalized and six deaths, data that confirm that while it is true that the contagion curve remains stable or even at a low level, however, the lethality of attacks from the new variants of Covid-19 is increasing.
INCIDENCE OF UPS AND DOWNS
While it is true that the health emergency was lifted a long time ago and the Covid-19 pandemic was declared over, infections have not stopped occurring among the population, with viruses mainly attacking the most vulnerable people because they were not vaccinated at the time.
According to the official report from the Health Intelligence Directorate, the number or incidence of positive cases of Covid-19 among the population has varied from week to week, with only three cases reported in some weeks and 12 in others, which has been the highest, with no uniformity in the confirmed cases per week.
From the week of May 19 to 25 and until the recent week of August 4 to 10, confirmed positive cases have been reported week after week, reaching a total of 93 diagnosed infections in the last 13 weeks.
As regards cases of hospitalised people, the figure totals 26 and the cumulative death toll from then to date is six, half of which were confirmed in the last two weeks through laboratory tests.
DO NOT BE CARELESS
Health authorities recommend not believing and even less assuming that the danger has passed, since it has not. Therefore, it is recommended to resume the use of face masks in case of suspected infection or flu, avoid shaking hands and kissing on the cheek when sick, use antibacterial gel on hands to inhibit viruses and seek medical evaluation if symptoms occur: runny nose, cough, headache, body ache, etc.
