“A patient positive for the coronavirus died at the ENT hospital”, announced this morning a press release from the Ministry of Health.
Three patients from the New ENT hospital, positive for COVID-19, have died in the past 6 days. They were admitted due to pre-existing comorbidities or mild symptoms requiring medical supervision, according to the Department of Health.
Indeed, a positive patient died on the evening of Friday, July 2. The Ministry of Health announced another death on Sunday July 4 and a third death is announced this Thursday morning.
The ministry maintains that the main cause of death is not however attributed to Covid-19 but to another pathology.
According to the latest data, out of 3,021 PCR tests carried out yesterday, Wednesday July 7, 5 new positive cases for Covid-19 have been recorded.
4 cases were detected thanks to the ongoing Contact Tracing exercises.
1 case was detected at the COVID-19 Testing Center at the SSRN hospital. The epidemiological link is under investigation.
The country currently has 323 active cases of COVID-19.
As a reminder, 1,431 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of yesterday afternoon, 1,087 of them, considered to be cured, were able to return home.
