The figures presented this Friday by the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Pays de la Loire are not good.
In Maine-et-Loire, the incidence rate went from 133 per 100,000 inhabitants on Tuesday to 144 on Friday (155.9 among those over 65). This rate rises to 113 in the agglomeration ofAngers (71 among those over 65) and climbs to 224 in the agglomeration of Cholet (299 among those over 65).
The positivity rate is also increasing, from 5.4 Tuesday to 5.9 this Friday.
Across the Pays de la Loire region, Maine-et-Loire is the department where the virus circulates the least. By way of comparison, the Sarthe records an incidence rate of 225.3 per 100,000 inhabitants, 170.6 in Mayenne, 154.3 in Vendée and 146.3 en Loire Atlantique.
Since Tuesday, sixteen additional patients have been admitted to hospitals in Maine-et-Loire. 37 people with Covid-19 are currently in intensive care, seven more than four days ago.
Six additional deaths linked to coronavirus are to be deplored.
