KOMPAS.com – South Korea began to fine those who did not wear face mask in public starting Friday (11/13/2020).
The sanction of fines was set after there was an increasing number of daily cases.
Reporting from Al Jazeera, Saturday (11/14/2020), South Korea has confirmed 205 new cases of Covid-19.
This figure is the first time that Korse’s daily cases have been recorded above 200 since early September 2020.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) has enacted a law enforcing fines for people who go to public places without wearing masks.
People caught without masks in public places, including nightclubs, malls, amusement parks and salons, will be fined up to 100,000 won or Rp 1.2 million.

Meanwhile, managers of these places can be subject to fines of up to 3 million won or Rp.38.3 million.
Of the new cases, 166 were from local transmission and 39 were imported.
More than 65 percent of locally transmitted cases originated in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, densely populated areas near the capital.
Health authorities attributed the increase in cases to private gatherings and public facilities, which made it difficult to identify the route of transmission.
According to the news agency Yonhap, Saturday (11/14/2020), four South Korean football players and one staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
The report, citing the Korea Football Association, added that none of the five were showing any symptoms.
Meanwhile, the government Carousel is in recent talks with global drugmakers for a potential Covid-19 vaccine.
It said the South Korean government wanted to try to secure supplies to cover 60 percent of its population.
