Covid-19 Cases in Vietnam Rise, Allegedly Due to a Combined Mutation of the British & Indian variant of the Corona Virus

Known, new variant corona virus is thought to be a combined mutation between variants of India and English.

Minister of Health Vietnam, Nguyen Thanh Long said, combined variant corona virus India and English this turned out to be spreading rapidly through the air, as online newspapers reported VnExpress.

Vietnam is currently battling a fast-spreading outbreak, having managed to contain the coronavirus for most of last year.

Nearly 3,600 people have been infected in 33 of 63 cities and provinces since late April.

This number accounts for more than half of the country’s total infections.

“After performing gene sequencing on newly detected patients, we have discovered a new variant that is a mixture of India and English,” said Nguyen Thanh Long as reported by Channel News Asia.




Virus corona varian English is believed to be more contagious than the original strain, whereas the variant India are also thought to be more infectious and potentially unaffected by immune system antibodies.

Variants recently detected in Vietnam also has the characteristics of the two variants.
