The management of the Continental Hockey League has decided to postpone the regular championship game between Riga “Dinamo” and Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” teams scheduled for September 22 in Arena Riga, the “Dinamo” club reports.
The management of the Nizhny Novgorod club informed KHL that several of the club’s players and employees were experiencing symptoms of Acute Virus Infection (ARVI). As a result of the testing, the coronavirus was confirmed in 4 subjects.
Club players and employees with ARVI symptoms and negative PCR (ПЦР) tests have been isolated by the club. Additional testing with PCR (ПЦР) will be performed in the near future, as well as serological testing (for immunoglobulin).
Taking into account that in the “Torpedo” team some of the basic players are isolated and there will not be enough time to settle all the necessary documents for crossing the border for the youth team players, it was decided to play on September 22 between Riga relocation.
Five Dinamo players in Riga have been confirmed to have a coronavirus infection and are currently all isolated.
