The pandemic continues to disrupt the proper functioning of schools in the Toulouse Academy. The latest health bulletin from the rectorate counts 2,836 positive students this week for Covid-19 in the eight departments of the Toulouse academy, but also 977 staff (including many teachers), 55 closed classes (including 19 in Haute-Garonne) and three closed school structures, two of which are in the department. Proof, if any, of the permanence of the pandemic. This week’s numbers are fairly stable with previous weeks. Note that the closed classes only affect nursery and elementary schools, colleges and high schools seem to have been spared by this additional constraint.
The Covid does nothing to help the problem of replacing absent teachers, already thorny in the department.
