Despite the economic importance of the stores headed in the “big apple”, Apple did not hesitate and has just temporarily closed all of its Apple Stores in New York City. Apple Stores on 5th Avenue, Grand Central, Soho, etc. therefore no longer receive the public, but it is still possible to remove Apple devices from the after-sales service or that have been ordered online (pick-up). The outbreak of the Omicron variant and a still very high number of deaths in the United States are of course the main causes of this decision.

Before the closure of the Apple Stores in New York, Apple had already lowered the curtain about twenty shops all over the United States. Given Omicron’s level of infectivity, it would not be surprising if the Californian is forced to close almost all of its stores on American soil within a few weeks. After all, we are only at the beginning of winter …
