“COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations offered in Yerba Buena by Ministry of Public Health”

On this occasion, Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz went to the node located in the town of Yerba Buena, where more than 60 people were vaccinated today in the morning. In addition, he stressed that these vaccination operations are taking place throughout the province.

The Ministry of Public Health is carrying out immunization against COVID-19, influenza and all those vaccines necessary to complete the vaccination scheme. “We found a predisposed staff with attitude. The idea is that all those people who cannot be vaccinated during the week, for work or study reasons, give them the opportunity to do so during the weekend, ”explained the official. The available vaccines are: against Covid-19, pneumococcal and influenza for people over 65 years of age, pediatrics and patients with comorbidities.

The nursing graduate Roxana Sercan, and coordinator of the Fanzolato vaccination node, indicated that during this Saturday all the vaccines were offered in order to complete the vaccination scheme. “We are starting the Latin American week of vaccination in the Americas. Therefore, we are waiting for you from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and we will also be in the old mall so that they can complete their vaccination card, ”she explained.

In this sense, the ministry recalls that people who have risk factors must be vaccinated with the flu vaccine and must also receive those that are typical of different ages, available in all vaccination centers in the province. There are three different flu vaccines for different ages: the pediatric one that covers from 6 to 35 months; that of an adult from 3 to 64 years; and the adjuvanted one that is for those over 65 years of age so that they have a greater response and better protection against the flu.
