In addition, five years working-class districts of Salé, namely Sala El Jadida, El Andalous, Hay El Inbiaat, Hay Errahma and Laâyayda have also been cordoned off and traffic has been limited there, specifies the same source.

And to add: “The authorities of Salé have also decided to interrupt the activities of cafes, restaurants, games and sports rooms, showers and hammams as well as those of fitness rooms throughout the city. hairdressing and beauty, and the use of nearby land ”.

Only food shops and fruit and vegetable vendors “will remain open, but only until 5 pm”, it is claimed.

“We have closed the beach, because it is a gathering place where the gestures of protection are no longer respected as before by the citizens”, reported the same source, citing an official of the prefecture of Sale.

According to official statistics, the population of Salé is currently estimated at one million inhabitants, not counting those of the periphery.

As a reminder, Salé has recorded, over the past two days, a total of 98 positive cases (72 cases Wednesday and 36 cases yesterday, Thursday August 13), revealed the Ministry of Health.
