As the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Occitanie notes in his latest newsletter about the Covid-19 published on the evening of Friday, September 17, “the vaccination obligation of people working in the health, medico-social and social sectors has now entered into force”. According to the agency, a thousand liberal health professionals have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine since the beginning of September.
“The vast majority of professionals are already vaccinated, but these indicators still need to improve in Occitania. The entry into force of the vaccination obligation accelerated vaccinations at the beginning of September. The first suspension announcements also prompted vaccination decisions ”, writes the AARS
In addition, “a census is carried out by each of the directors of hospitals and medico-social establishments with their staff.”
In addition to the entry into force of the vaccination obligation for caregivers and hospital staff, the month of September also corresponds to the start of the school year. There was the fear of a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases with the return to school benches. But according to the ARS bulletin, 72.6% of young people aged 12 to 17 have already received a first dose of vaccine in Occitania.
