Bernard Perrut (LR) wants elected officials to lead by example. The deputy for the 9th district of the Rhône, elected in the north of the department, asks his colleagues, as well as the mayors who wish, to be vaccinated. This in order to reduce the mistrust of the French, reinforced by the suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine in France since Monday.
Like the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, who announced it during his press conference on Thursday, March 18, 2021, Bernard Perrut wants to receive an injection of this vaccine precisely.
Since the Prime Minister has declared that he wants to set an example, at a time when doubts and fears are important among the French, I suggest that the deputies and mayors who so wish, can demonstrate their commitment to vaccination, and of their confidence in the AstraZeneca vaccine when it is authorized again, and thus reassure their fellow citizens!
“What humanity owes to the vaccine”
Already last December, the elected Caladois had expressed this desire to the national assembly. “Because I do not forget what humanity owes to the vaccine, Mr. Prime Minister, I will be vaccinated as soon as possible, by your side”, he then declared, during the debate on the vaccine strategy , emphasizing “the value of example as essential”.
