COVID-19: a death toll in Outaouais, Ottawa and Eastern Ontario | Coronavirus

Public health in the Outaouais reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

No new deaths from the coronavirus have been reported for 16 days in the region now. COVID-19 has so far claimed 214 victims in the Outaouais.

According to the latest data from the authorities, two people are hospitalized in the COVID-19 unit of the Hull Hospital and two patients are being treated in intensive care.

The Integrated Health and Social Services Center (cISS) de l’Outaouais is monitoring 104 active cases of the virus throughout its territory.

Since the start of the pandemic, 12,340 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Outaouais and 12,022 of them have been cured.

In Ottawa, authorities report 20 new COVID-19 infections on Friday.

The number of deaths attributable to the virus remains stable in the federal capital, however, with a death toll of 584 since the start of the pandemic.

According to the most recent data from Ottawa Public Health (OPH), 21 people with COVID-19 are hospitalized in Ottawa and 3 patients are followed in intensive care.

SPO is closely monitoring 363 active cases of the coronavirus in its territory, Friday.

Authorities have so far identified 27,379 positive cases of COVID-19 in the federal capital since the start of the crisis. Of the number, 26,432 people who were infected have now recovered.

No case in eastern Ontario

In eastern Ontario, the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) reported no new cases on its website on Friday. Since the start of the pandemic, 4,179 people have been affected by the virus.

Currently, 11 cases are still active in the territory, one less than Thursday. Four people are hospitalized, three of whom are in intensive care.

For the fourth day in a row, the number of deaths remains stable, with 107 victims of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
