The takeover battle for Neways is currently focused on price. VDL initially wanted to pay 12.50 euros per share, later 13 euros, but in the eyes of Neways this was far below par. Investment company Infestos from Enschede – suddenly appeared on Thursday as privateer on the coast – offers 14.55 euros, 12 percent more than VDL. The Neways board has agreed to this.
