The police revealed the efforts of Devid Ai Lesmana alias Devid (19) to cover up the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Nindi Putri Marifa or Nindi (19) at the Jalan Sholeh Iskandar apartment, Bogor City, West Java. Police said Devid cut his hair after the murder to obscure CCTV clues.
“So the perpetrator’s steps were to obscure his identity and traces, starting from him taking the victim’s belongings including cellphone, wallet, clothes and throwing them into the river when he returned home,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Bogor City Police, Kompol. Rizka Fadhila, Tuesday (12/12/2023).
Apart from that, Devid, who originally had long hair, also cut his hair after killing Nindi. This was done to obscure CCTV clues in the apartment where the murder occurred.
“Then, initially on December 7, the perpetrator still had long hair. Then after carrying out the action on Friday (8/12/2023), he (Devid) returned to his residence and on that day he immediately cut his hair to remove any traces or marks. “characteristics on the apartment’s CCTV. These are the efforts in question to obscure his tracks,” said Rizka.
Plan Murder
Rizka said that the results of the examination revealed that the suspect Devid had planned the murder. This can be seen from the weapons that were prepared before meeting the victim, to the use of the victim’s ID card when checking in for an apartment rental on Jl Sholeh Iskandar, Bogor City.
“The Chief of Police also told us that he (the perpetrator) had also planned the murder, from the start he brought tools, then when he checked in at the apartment, what he used was the victim’s data (KTP),” said Rizka.
“So initially the data and information that led to this perpetrator at the time of the initial discovery was very minimal. But thanks to the information that investigators received and thanks to the foresight and alertness of the officers, we were finally able to pin down the alleged perpetrator,” he added.
