Anouar T., the cousin of Ridouan T., who is detained for involvement in the murder of lawyer Derk Wiersum, was arrested in his cell last week. He is now also suspected of involvement in a serious violent crime in Utrecht in October last year.
That confirms both the Public Prosecution Service (OM) and T.’s attorney to NU.nl after reporting on Tuesday AD.
It is a heavy one mistreatment in which a 28-year-old man was beaten out of nowhere by three men on 30 October with a demolition hammer on the edge of the center of Utrecht. The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. After the incident, the three men fled in a van.
Besides T. according to the AD last week also the Utrecht residents Ousamma B. and Jesse S. were arrested. They are suspected of participating in a criminal organization, headed by T.
The reason for the serious abuse is still being investigated. Sources allegedly said to the newspaper that the victim also belonged to the organization, but did not want to cooperate.
