The author of the model / cookbook said on the site upon leaving: “For over 10 years you have been my world. honestly, we owe so much to this world that we have created here. I really consider many of you to be my true friends. But it’s time for me to say goodbye. It doesn’t serve me as positively as it does negatively anymore, and I think it’s a good time to call something out.

She told her supporters, “My goal in life is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don’t is just too much for me. I’ve always been described as the loud applause girl, but I’m just not.

“My desire to be loved and my fear of pissing off people made me someone you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than the one I started here!” Live well, tweeters. Please know that all I was concerned about was you!

Teigen, married to superstar singer John Legend, left a detailed statement to her 34.4 million Instagram followers on Thursday about her decision to deactivate her account, which had more than 13.7 million subscribers.

‘That is true! The platform doesn’t serve me as positively as it does negatively anymore, so I say goodbye to you, ”she said, noting that she didn’t blame the platform as they had been careful and diligent in their work.

She continued, “It’s not the platform. It is not “bullying”. And it’s not the trolls. Trolls I can deal with, even if it weighs on you. It’s just me.’

Teigen said her decision to leave the social media site stemmed from her unease with people who didn’t like her personally.

“I have to come to terms with the fact that some people won’t like me,” she said. “I hate letting people down or upsetting people and I feel like I do it over and over and over again.

“Someone can’t read that they’ve disappointed you in some way every day, all day without physically absorbing that energy. I can feel it in my bones.
