Kate Winslet has no plans to join social media.
The Titanic actress has no plans to join sites like Instagram or X, which she considers a “distraction”, and she refuses to let her children use them.
When asked if she would consider joining one of these apps, the star told Entertainment Tonight, “I don’t think so. Isn’t it a distraction? How can I honestly look at my kids and say, ‘I’m not sure this is a good idea’ if I’m on it.”
When asked if social media is banned in her home, Kate replied: “Yes, it is banned.”
Meanwhile, Kate recently admitted that she doesn’t mind stripping down for a role. Indeed, the star has developed a more carefree attitude towards her body since playing pioneering war photographer Lee Miller in the film ‘Lee’.
She told the Daily Telegraph: “In many ways I felt closer to her than any character I’ve played before. There’s so much about her way of life that I deeply identified with, and was inspired by. Everything was on her own terms. Even the way she celebrated her body.”
