After 25 years, the reality show will come to an end in 2021 Judge Judy. The face of this program, Judy Sheindlin (77), announces in conversation with Ellen DeGeneres that in 2022 she will bring a new, similar program on television.
“I have had a 25-year marriage with CBS (the channel where it is broadcast, ed.) And it has been a success,” says the presenter in a clip of the interview that will be broadcast later on Monday.
The intention is that CBS will be repeating after next year Judge Judy will broadcast. The following year will Judy Justice to be made. It is not yet known on which channel this can be seen.
In Judge Judy Sheindlin handles daily disputes between Americans. More than five thousand episodes have been made and it is watched by around nine million people on average.
Sheindlin is considered the best-paid presenter of American television. Variety previously reported that CBS paid 100 million dollars (around 90 million euros) to the presenter for broadcasting the program repetitions.
Was in the Netherlands Judge Judy can be seen on RTL8. It is currently being broadcast on the FOX channel.
