A St. Gallen resident is loud “Sunday view” Made terror propaganda for the Islamic State (IS) for months. He ran a one-man media agency for IS from February 2018 to October 2019 and therefore had to answer before the Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona on October 7. The 27-year-old advertises himself as a translator for German, English and Arabic on the LinkedIn networking platform.

According to the investigators, the St. Gallen resident saved and sent dozens of pictures and videos of atrocities. He translated IS press releases and distributed them via Twitter, Whatsapp and Telegram. According to the federal prosecutor’s office, he wanted to “glorify the military clout of IS”, quoted the “Sonntagsblick” from the indictment. The St. Gallen resident also oversees the “AI-Khayr Media” YouTube channel, on which he uploaded edited IS propaganda videos, the newspaper writes.

The St. Gallen resident informed his fiancé by video that he wanted to have ten children with her and that they should become “soldiers of Islam”. At the time, he wanted to travel to Syria or Iraq via Turkey to join ISIS on site, he said in an interrogation in October 2020.
