Roman Kreuziger leaves NTT for Russian Gazprom
Czech Roman Kreuziger (34) has signed a one-year contract with Gazprom-RusVelo. The winner of the Amstel Gold Race 2013 leaves NTT. Gazprom-RusVelo brings in a lot of experience with Kreuziger. The Czech drove 18 Grand Tours. In 2008 he achieved his first major victory with the overall victory in the Tour de Suisse, followed afterwards by the Clasica San Sebastian and the Tour de Romandie in 2009, a stage in the Giro in 2012 and the Amstel Gold Race in 2013. Kreuziger will ride in support of the Russian Ilnur Zakarin at Gazprom-RusVelo, he will also be allowed to take his chance.
Trek-Segafredo gives young Dane last place, Weening has to leave
The American-Italian Trek-Segafredo has completed its selection for 2021. The 22-year-old Dane Jakob Egholm comes from Axel Merckx’s team – Axeon Hagens Berman – and signs a one-year contract. The Dane is a former junior world champion. The arrival of Egholm is bad news for Pieter Weening (39) and Will Clarke (35). Both veterans were told there will be no more room for them next year. Mitchelton-Scott renews New Zealanders contract
Good news for the New Zealand enclave within Mitchelton-Scott too. A new contract is ready for Sam Bewley, Dion Smith and Jack Bauer, the three Kiwis within the Australian team. All three are signing up for an additional season. Georgia Williams is also allowed to add a year to the women’s team.

The young Kazakhs Fedorov and Brussenskiy are offered their first, two-year professional contract. Their fellow countrymen Gidich, Gruzdev, Natarov, Pronskiy, Stalnov and Zakharov have renewed their commitment to the team for one year. News from toppers Miguel Angel Lopez and Alexei Lutsenko has not yet arrived.
