“Courier”: Casino shareholders want Hesoun as the head of the supervisory board

Raiffeisen Advocate General Walter Rothensteiner resigns the chairmanship of the supervisory board at Casinos Austria (CASAG) ahead of schedule until the Annual General Meeting in September. Siemens boss Wolfgang Hesoun is rumored to be his successor. As the “Kurier” writes, all casino shareholders, ie Sazka, the state holding company ÖBAG and the small shareholders would support Hesoun.

Hesoun was named by the newspaper in which Raiffeisen holds a stake in April for the chairmanship of the casino’s supervisory board.

According to the syndicate contract, Austria is entitled to the head of the supervisory board. The contract is not yet in force. The agreement is still for approval by the EU Commission. It is questionable whether it will work out until the CASAG general meeting in September, the paper writes. If not, the two major shareholders would still vote, as had already been done when ordering the casino boss Bettina Glatz-Kremsner.
