Kasaragod – Four persons including a couple arrested with 150 grams of MDMA in Uduma. The accused were arrested while selling the drugs from Bengaluru to Kasarkot. Abu Bakar, his wife Ameena Azra, a native of Kasarkot, Puthariatukkam, Waseem and Suraj, natives of Bengaluru, were arrested by the Bekal police during the vehicle inspection.
They sold MDMA in a car with Karnataka registration. The drug was hidden under the seat of the car. The key links in the gangs that were transporting drugs from Bengaluru to Kasaragod were arrested.
Abu Bakar and his wife Amina, who were arrested, were directly selling drugs in Kasaragod. The police found that two other persons had delivered MDMA from Bengaluru. The police believe that by interrogating the accused, other links in the drug trafficking gang can be caught soon.
