This British couple and the Euromillions is a story that has lasted for many years. In order not to forget to play, the man and the woman even subscribed in 2021 to a subscription which allows them, in an automated way, to fill in a grid each week.
A few weeks ago, they found the five correct numbers and the two stars. They finally win the long-awaited jackpot. It’s a text message on their cell phone telling them the good news. They go to the app, it’s confirmed, they’re millionaires. Overjoyed, they warn their loved ones and are already starting to dream of everything they can afford with these 205 million euros. Travel, home, cars…
But not everything goes as planned.
An invalid grid
To collect their prize, they contact the headquarters of the English lottery. Admittedly, they have found the right numbers, but they are told that their grid is not valid. Everything is collapsing, it’s disillusionment.
The grid in question was not validated by the application because the couple did not have enough money in their kitty.
Disappointed, but not defeated, they still continue to play today. But no longer with the same numbers. They hope that luck will come knocking on their door again.
