The team of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (CICPC) of Valencia arrested a Valencian couple who falsified university degrees from the University of Carabobo (UC)
Douglas Rico, director of the CICPC, detailed on his social networks that the investigation process was initiated after notice from the authorities of the University of Carabobo.
The CICPC revealed that the couple uses social networks to offer their services: profiles on Instagram and Telegram. But also, they promoted trend courses in aesthetics, occupational health, spa, among others. All with the supposed endorsement of the University of Carabobo.
They asked for the service between 80 and 300 dollars for certifications and handed out falsified diplomas. And also, they warned that their courses were very “brief”.
Francisco José Orama Ramírez, 34, and María Alejandra Noguera Cortez, 44, were arrested as those responsible for the fraud. Both in two different locations in the Carabobo state. Two cell phones, a minute book, a computer, a hard drive, and 11 false diplomas made from parchment materials, cardboard, and photostatic copies were seized.
