The coach Rui Almeida put his frustration aside after the draw against Nîmes and is now focusing on the rest of the season and the next deadline for Niort : an 8th round of French Cup in Bergerac (N2). Knowing the qualities of the opposing group, the coach from Chamois wants to do everything possible to prepare the match in the most serious way possible.

« In Bergerac there is a history with the cup. We know the opponent and his players well, 50 or 60% of the players have played in Ligue 2 or at least in the national team. The most important thing is what we will do there. You have to be aggressive in a game like this, depending on the context and the weather. You have to have respect for your opponents, but we have confidence in ourselves to evolve and progress in what went wrong against Nîmes. You have to play a good game and win it. »
“We prepare for the match in exactly the same way (only one match of Ligue 2, ed.). We have to face the best players for this week. We will go there and give our best, we will not save any players. »
At the end of the press conference, Rui Almeida gave clues about the CNCC schedule for the months of November and December: “We’ll be back on Saturday to take stock, the first training session will be on Tuesday 29 November”. The dates have not yet been set but two friendlies should be played, against Angers and Bordeaux.
